Shakila Cham

Shakila joined Snyder Capital Management in May of 2021 as an Investment and Financial Planning Intern while completing her graduate degree in Applied Mathematics at Stony Brook University. Upon graduation in January 2022, she transitioned to a full-time role as a Portfolio Analyst.  

Currently, Shakila performs ongoing research and analysis on investments and the market for the investment committee. Additionally, she supports the advisory team to help develop in-depth financial plans and what-if scenarios.

Shakila earned an honors BS in Pure Mathematics from University of Florida, an MA in Pure Mathematics from Stony Brook University and she is currently working on achieving an MS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a concentration in Quantitative Finance from Stony Brook University. While a graduate student, Shakila worked as a Teaching Assistant and conducted research to develop a binary logistic model to forecast transactions in residential real estate.

In her free time Shakila likes to paint, read science and math books, and spend time with her cat Penny.
