Gloria Snyder, an accomplished entrepreneur and community leader, serves as the Vice President of Snyder Wealth Group. Prior to her foray into the financial sector, Gloria made her mark in the business world as the founder of Specialties Galore, Ltd., a product fundraising company that she successfully led for 28 years. Her work in the business arena and her dedication to community service have made her an indispensable part of the team at Snyder Wealth Group.

Gloria began her career as an educator, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from SUNY Stony Brook. After five years in the teaching profession, she transitioned into the business sector and founded Specialties Galore, Ltd. Under her leadership, the company assisted over 250 schools, scouting groups, and non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts.

After selling Specialties Galore, Ltd., Gloria joined her husband’s firm, Snyder Wealth Group. As Vice President, she brings a unique set of skills and experience that contributes to the firm’s mission of providing sound financial guidance and outstanding service.

Outside of her professional role, Gloria is deeply involved in her local community, holding numerous leadership positions in non-profit organizations. She is the Chair on the Board of Directors of Jefferson’s Ferry, a Life Plan Retirement Community, Chair of the Advancement Council at Stony Brook Cancer Care, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Staller Center at Stony Brook University. She has been a board member and past President at Temple Isaiah, Stony Brook for 25 years. Gloria has also held roles as committee chairperson for One Enchanted Evening at Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson, and the Golden Eagle Award Dinner at the Ward Melville Heritage Organization, Stony Brook.

Gloria’s contributions to her community have been widely recognized. In 2007, she was named Volunteer of the Year by the Village Times Herald newspaper and received the Paul Harris Fellow recognition from the Patchogue Rotary Club in 2009. Alongside her husband, Mark, she has been honored by the Hillel Center at Stony Brook University, which named the center the Gloria and Mark Snyder Hillel Center. She has also been a past President of the Hillel Center. They jointly received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Excellence from Stony Brook University and the Theodore Roosevelt Award from Mather Hospital.

Gloria resides in Belle Terre with her husband, Mark. Their greatest sources of joy and pride are their two children, Chad and Heather. As a professional, philanthropist, and devoted family woman, Gloria continues to make a significant impact in both her professional and personal spheres.
